What is SharePoint

SharePoint is a Microsoft Office collaboration application that is web enabled. ShatePoint allows teams to share information anywhere there is a web browser available. SharePoint includes document management features that integrate with the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of tools. SharePoint Server is an extended product that takes the collaboration one step further. It offers an enhanced version of SharePoint that is applicable at the enterprise level. Some of the additional features included with SharePoint Server include business intelligence and reporting, content management, intranet and web management tools.
